This project consisted of structural rehabilitation and seismic retrofit of the historic masonry Showley Brothers Candy Factory building relocated next to San Diego’s PETCO Park. The project received recognition from the City of San Diego Historical Resources Board and the Save Our Heritage Organization. It also received the Structural Engineers Association of San Diego Merit Award for excellence in structural design. Through successful project management and design team coordination, the project finished on schedule and under budget. Three percent of the contract value was returned to the owner during the reconciliation of the GMP contract.
