Relocated next to San Diego’s PETCO Park, this project consisted of structural rehabilitation and seismic retrofit of the historic masonry Schiefer & Sons building. The award winning project received recognition from the City of San Diego Historical Resources Board and the Save Our Heritage Organization. The Schiefer & Sons building also received an AIA San Diego Design Award and was a 2008 Orchid Award Winner from the San Diego Architectural Foundation. This project consisted of structural rehabilitation and seismic retrofit of the historic masonry Showley Brothers Candy Factory building relocated next to San Diego’s PETCO Park. The project received recognition from the City of San Diego Historical Resources Board and the Save Our Heritage Organization. It also received the Structural Engineers Association of San Diego Merit Award for excellence in structural design. Through successful project management and design team coordination, the project finished on schedule and under budget.
