The Vista Terrace is a picturesque location for ceremonies and other outdoor events at the hotel. The scope of work consisted of the removal of existing landscape and hardscape to provide a new ADA compliant plaza as well as elevating and expanding the Vista Terrace from two levels to one level, creating views to the ocean and the hotel’s historic turret. The work also preserved the famed Dragon Tree next to the resort entrance, which was the backdrop for a scene featuring Jack Lemmon in drag in the movie “Some Like It Hot.” All work was completed while the hotel.

The Salvation Army’s Door of Hope Campus is home to programs serving homeless families of San Diego. The Rady Residence project consisted of the demolition of four existing 1-story buildings and construction of a new 37,900 SF, 4-story building that provides 32 residential units (1, 2, and 3 bedrooms) with a 1-story Housing Services wing. The Housing Services wing features an activity room, playroom, offices, and a laundry room and will help support residents of this building and the other residents of The Door of Hope Campus. The California Cabanas is an existing building at the historical Hotel Del Coronado that includes 97 guestrooms, guestroom corridors, a center atrium, and meeting rooms. The 1970s-era building received a complete overhaul, with special attention to creating more of an indoor-outdoor feel, particularly along the beachfront. The lower level patios have been outfitted with new pavers, seating walls, chaise lounges, and fire pits as well as new cabanas/awnings. The Barona Resort and Casino is a large expansion project that consists of adding 30,000 SF to the existing casino floor featuring 535 new machines, two table game pits, new bathrooms, a new VIP Club Barona booth, and expanding the food court; the addition of 3 elevator openings; enclosing the current buffet patio; and remodeling the poker room and promenade.
