Chula Vista, CA… TSA Construction, Inc. has completed construction of Mater Dei Catholic Church in Chula Vista. The 17,420-square-foot, 1-story, wood-frame and stucco worship building has a seating capacity of 1,000, as well as other ancillary and supporting spaces. The building features a 44-foot tall steel cross that weighs 4,000 pounds. It is constructed of steel plates with a hand hammered finish welded to structural steel tubes. TSA has completed the renovation of 7300 Girard Ave. (formerly called Marine Medical). This project was a complete building renovation of an existing occupied 2-story medical office building located in a busy area of La Jolla. Scope included the addition of enclosed areas on the first and second levels, and terraces on the second level. The 9,843 SF project was completed in phases while the building remained occupied. With Rady’s Children being a tenant in the building, TSA took great care to ensure that the patients and staff were safe and away from the construction area by redirecting them with.

On April 21, 2020 crews installed the bronze bell at Mater Dei Catholic Church in Chula Vista. The 2,300 pound, 3-foot wide bell is attached to 8×18 heavy timber and hangs at 40 feet on the bell tower. This 17,420-square-foot, 1-story, wood-frame and stucco worship building will have a seating capacity of 1,000, as well as other ancillary and supporting spaces. The site development will include modifications to a small portion of the existing surface parking lot, paved courtyards, walks, ramps, landscaping and irrigation as well as required grading, drainage and utility improvements. Completion is scheduled for mid-May.

Chula Vista, CA… TSA Construction, Inc. is progressing on construction of the Mater Dei Catholic Church located at 1571 Magdalena Drive. On October 2nd crews successfully placed a 35,000 pound, 106-foot truss above what will be the altar of the church.
