TSA CONSTRUCTION COMPLETES SITE RENOVATIONS AT HOTEL DEL CORONADO
Coronado, CA… TSA Construction, Inc. has completed site renovations to the Vista Walk at Hotel del Coronado. The Vista Walk is a picturesque location for ceremonies and other outdoor events at the hotel. The scope of work consisted of the removal of existing landscape and hardscape to provide a new ADA compliant plaza as well as elevating and expanding the Vista Walk to one level. The work also preserved the famed Dragon Tree next to the resort entrance, which was the backdrop for a scene featuring Jack Lemmon in drag in the movie “Some Like It Hot.”
TSA provided preconstruction services for this project as well. All work was completed while the hotel remained in operation.
Lahaina Architects was the architect, Burton Landscape Architecture Studio was the landscape architect, and KPFF Consulting Engineers was the structural engineer. TSA representatives included Geoff Sherman as project manager and J.R. Mansfield as superintendent.
Major subcontractors include Casper Company, KTM Coating Technologies, Bergelectric, Modern Masonry, Prestige Contracting, DKS Construction, Johnson Finch McClure, Sherwood Mechanical, Lance Reed Construction, Benchmark Landscape, Western Fire Protection, and General Coatings Corporation.
