TSA Construction Completes Bikeway Village in Imperial Beach

Imperial Beach, CA – TSA Construction has completed Bikeway Village located at 536 13th Street. Bikeway Village is a scenic rest area and refreshment spot next to the 24-mile Bayshore Bikeway that runs through Coronado, Imperial Beach, Chula Vista, and downtown San Diego.

Bikeway Village was a collaboration between Studio E  Architects and landLAB and is situated along a key transition point along Bayshore Bikeway and San Diego. With beautiful views of the water and the city of San Diego, it provides an informal entrance to Imperial Beach. This project consisted of transforming two large existing warehouse buildings for future retail and restaurant space and creates a welcoming, functional rest stop for cyclists, travelers and locals. A host of amenities are oriented towards the bay and the bikeway, including a large outdoor deck with formal and informal seating, restored native wetland planting and landscaped retention basin, bicycle parking, water bottle refill station, trail-side rest stop and public restrooms. The project is intended to be the “greenest development” on the bay by using solar power cells on the roofing, paint and finishes that have minimal pollutants, and by encouraging bike transit.

Bikeway Village LLC is the owner. TSA representatives included Kristen Freeman as project manager, Sharr Williams as assistant project manager, and Steve Bastian as superintendent.
